Chapter 35 Thirty Five

• "Where are we now?" Alice asked as Joan helped her take a , under a tree. she was purely exhausted from walking and wanted to take a nap, , taking a nap wasn't advised in a situation like this. She preferred to rest a little,then they could continue their journey to who knows where. Maybe find someone to help. But they were in the past. "I don't know," Johnathan answered. He had travelled to his own past and wanted to use the opportunity to wander around. Maybe he could find something, and now they were lost in the past. "Do your powers work?" Lilac asked Alice, and she nodded. "Yes, it still works." They all looked up at Johnathan, and he nodded. "Okay, let me try again." He closed his eyes and tried to use his powers, and the next second, his eyes flew open. "It's working!" He exclaimed, and they all anticipated leaving this place. Lilac and joan helped Alice back up and stood close to Johnathan, ready to go back home. it felt like a whirlwind as they were slowly transported away from their. Lilac had a smile on her face, but the smile disappeared when she opened her eyes and saw where they were. They weren't back home. They were somewhere else. another forest, but his time it was morning and not evening. They were still trapped in the past, but this time another timeline. "Where are we now?" Lilac sighed, exasperated of the outcome. But she soon became alert when they heard a sound coming from behind them... "Did you hear that!" Joan said, looking at everyone to confirm if she heard wrong. but it seemed like they all heard it, too. They all exchanged worried looks before they slowly started to walk toward where the sound was coming from. They more they inched closer, the more the second became clearer. it sounded like a baby was crying... A few seconds later, a house came into a view, and they could see a woman standing by the entrance of the house.
• The woman turned around, sensing there was someone close by, and they all immediately hid, so she wouldn't see them. "Who is that?" Lilac muttered in a low voice. the woman seemed oddly familiar. She felt like she knew her and at the same time didn't know her. "You can't be here, your majesty!" They heard someone talking to the woman, and Johnathan's eyes immediately grew wide when he recognised the voice of the person. He slowly got up so he could get a better view and confirm his doubts. It was Diana! And the woman from before had a baby in her arms with two little children standing close to her. One looked like a five - to seven year old and the other older... What shocked Johnathan even more was Diana. She was pregnant... Was it for him? and why did the woman look familiar. Lilac tapped his shoulder and his at him for answers. Johnathan could only look at Lilac and then back at the woman and then back at Lilac. The resemblance between her and the woman was striking. The only difference were the colour of their eyes. He looked at Joan and Alice over at the other side and realised that I had noticed it too. Lilac eyes slowly travelled from Johnathan to the woman, and she gasped. Her eyes grew wide in shock. "Mother..." She muttered, not believing her eyes. "Diana..." She said after then her eyes landed on the two boys, and it didn't take her long to realise it was Devon and Liam. They looked so young. Her mother looked so young. was she the baby in her mother's arms. Her mother was here... she had missed her so much over the years... Time went slower in the supernatural world compared to the human word. Here, a hundred years felt like just a year had passed, but it meant over a century in the human world. She could still remember the warm hugs of her mother. "Why are we here. I need to speak to her, " Lilac said, her vision already blurry with tears. But Johnathan held her and shook his head. "You can't speak to her. we can not ulter the past"
• "But I have to warn her of what is to come. I can't just watch her. I need to save her, " Lilac muttered and watched as Diana allowed the Queen into her house. Her eyes briefly met with little Devon, and he smiled at her before following his mother in. She needed to tell him... Maybe he could warn their mother. "We have to go," Johnathan said and took Lilac's hand. Joan and Alice exchanged worried looks and started to follow after the couple. They, too, were curious about what was going on. Lilac mind had travelled far already. Back to the past, she remembered so clearly. It was a normal day that day. Their father had left the Palace like he Always did, and she was looking forward to the gift he would bring back for her. But no one was prepared for the ordeal that took place that day. It ruined their family, which was already on the edge of ruin because of what had happened between Liam and Hazel.
