Chapter 14 Fourteen

• "Joan." She heard him call her name softly and froze. Her heart started to waver, and she could feel his eyes on her. Joan closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. She dropped what was in her hand and slowly turned to look at him. He was no longer sitting down but instead standing a few feet away from her. The way he stared at her. why was he staring at her like that? It made her head beat frantically in her chest. She was still so much affected by this man she realised. "Yes," She finally managed to say in a really low voice. He took a step forward, and she swallowed. She couldn't take a step back because the kitchen counter was behind her.
• Liam stopped right in front of her and just continued to stare, which only made her heart race more. Why was he acting this way all of a sudden? He moved closer to her, and she held her breath as he slowly reached out her whole mind in turmoil, wondering what he was trying to do. "What are you doing!" She said out loud when he was so close to her, and a slight smile appeared on his face. "You left the tap on," He said in a low voice and reached behind her to off it. Liam hand was fisted so tightly that he wouldn't hold her in his arms. Her wonderful scent clogged his mind as he slowly moved away from her. it wasn't until he was a few feet away from her that Joan finally breathed well again. Her face was completely flushed, and She looked a bit disoriented as she turned her back to him to continue what she was originally doing so he wouldn't see how affected she was by him.
• Liam ran his hand through his hair and walked straight out of the kitchen, not that it made any difference, she was still in the house, and all his senses could feel her. it wouldn't take him a minute to find her and mark her.
