Chapter 54 Fifty Four

• When the siblings returned back to the room, they were surprised to see that Diana was back, but one person was missing... "When did you get back?" Devon was the first person to ask. From the frown on the witch's face, and because of how silent Joan and Alice were, he could tell that something was wrong and it had something to do with the witch. " A while ago," Diana said and stood up, ready to leave... her eyes fell on Lilac, but she said nothing to her and simply walked right past her and out of the room. Silence returned back to the room, but Lilac was the one who broke it because she wanted to know where her mate was. "Where is Jonathan?" She asked. Alice and Joan exchanged worried looks before Joan finally answered. "He left a while ago. We don't know where he went, " she said, and Lilac left the room immediately to look for him. "What happened?" Liam asked, and Alice sighed deeply. "He had a disagreement with Diana, but I don't think it's just that... I think something is up with him... I've never seen Jonathan react that way, " Joan explained, and Liam and Devon were the ones who exchanged worried looks this time. They just settled a misunderstanding, and now there was a disagreement! "Did Diana say something to him?" He asked because he was aware of how sharp Diana's tongue was... "Yes and no", Alice answered, unsure of who to explain what happened because it happened so fast, and before they could stop Jonathan and ask him what was wrong, he was gone, and the room had grown silent after that... Diana refused to say a word, and they both, too, had said nothing to her till the siblings came back into the room...
• Joan and Alice went on to explain to their mates about everything that transpired within a short period of time when they were away... "So she refused to say anything," Liam asked, mad they nodded... "Jonathan grew mad after and left the room, but I doubt it was because of what Diana said," Alice said, still standing on the word that something was up with Jonathan... Devon sighed deeply... was it a crime for Diana to go without causing trouble for a single day... why couldn't she even get along with her own son... Would she ever change, he wondered, but he knew the answer to his question. He had known her for centuries, and she had been that way for a really long time. So about changing. He wasn't sure if that would ever be possible... "I wonder why the both of them don't get along," Joan asked the question that had plagued her mind for a long time... if Diana didn't get along with anyone, at least her son should have been a different case, but no, it was even worse when it was Jonathan because everything became really serious... "I hope they will one day," Alice chimed in. She knew Diana cared for her son, but she always tried to act otherwise... if only she had spoken to him about how she truly felt maybe then they wouldn't be like this... it was sad to know that a mother and son disliked one another, and Alice wished to never be that way with her child... she wanted to be close with her child and wanted her child to experience having their parents around for a long time like she couldn't experience... she didn't want her baby to ever be sad... her hand travelled to her bump, and she sighed deeply... she was going to make sure of that... she vowed... Alice wanted to be the best mother ever, and she knew Devon was going to be the best father to their children. "Do you think we should look for him?" Joan asked, and Devon shook his head. "No, I think the person he needs the most right now is Lilac... maybe he can tell her what is going on with him, " Devon said... and they all agreed...
• Diana came back into the room a while later, and everywhere grew completely silent... she walked over to the couch and took a seat... and Alice knew she came to check if Jonathan was back even though she was never going to admit it... "What! Do you think I'm self-centred too? " Diana blurted out, and Devon scoffed. "Yes, you are!" he said to Diana, she glared at him... he hated the fact that she was acting this way because he, of all people,, knew why she didn't get along with her son, but she still chose to act this way... "What do you know!" Diana muttered under her breath and stormed out of the living room again, but this time Devon stood up and followed after her... he wasn't going to let her run away like she always did... Alice immediately tried to stand up, and liam helped her up.. "Thank you," She said to him as they all hurriedly followed after Devon afraid that an argument was going to break out between the Supreme Alpha and the witch... "Devon!" Liam called after his brother to stop whatever was about to happen, but Devon ignored him.
