Chapter 39 Thirty Nine

• Diana appeared and the pack house and walked in to see everywhere quiet. where was everyone? Just as she was about to go upstairs to look for the Alpha. she was Lilith coming from the top of the stairs. "Diana, you are back," Lilith said in relief when she saw the witch. "This is something going on. why is everywhere so quiet? " Diana asked and started to go up the stairs... "The king is here with his mate." Lilith answered, and Diana was a little surprised that Liam was at the pack house. she had thought he would convince Joan to follow him back to the Palace... "But something is wrong. I think you need to see for yourself, " Lilith added, and Diana quickly claimed up the stairs and followed after the healer. she stopped in front of the guest room, where Joan was with her the king and pushed open the door. Liam, who was seated at the looked up when he heard the door open and saw Diana... "You are finally back," Liam said and sighed in relief... Maybe she could explain to them about what was happening... "Lilith, can you go and tell Devon that Diana is back?" Lilith nodded and left the room to inform the Alpha...
• "What is going on?" Diana inquired and walked slowly to the edge of the bed where Joan lay unconscious. "I have no idea. She just became unconscious... Lilith said she is okay and is just asleep, but no one falls asleep that way. Alice is in the same condition, and we sent for them to check on Johnathan and Lilac, " Liam explained.. . Diana muttered a spell and held Joan's hand... Her eyes closed. She continued to mutter the spell and abruptly stopped... "What is wrong?" Liam said, his eyes filled with worry... "She is fine," Diana said and sighed. "We just have to wait till she wakes up, I have no idea when that will be." Devon and Lilith arrived in the room right then, and Diana turned to look at the Alpha who had a frown on his face. "Where did you go off to this time, Diana?" He couldn't hide the annoyance in his voice towards the witch. "That doesn't matter. what matters is that I'm back now." Diana responded in the same tone that caused Liam to sigh. he didn't need the both of them arguing right now...
• A knock on the door caught their attention, and they turned to see lucas, the Alpha's beta standing between the opened door. "Alpha, they are back from checking on Lilac and Johnathan and..." Lucas trailed off. "What is it?" Diana was impatient and hated the suspense. She needed to know if her son was fine. "They brought them here... they are both unconscious." Lucas said, and the brothers exchanged looks. Diana didn't waste a single second and immediately walked out of the room to check on the couple, Liam and Devon following after her, but Lilith stayed behind with the future queen in case she woke up... Lucas led Diana and the brothers to the room where their sister and their and her mate were. They both were unconscious, just like Alice and Joan. what was happening. they were probably expecting Johnathan to be in the same state but not Lilac... Why was Lilac unconscious, too? Diana checked on them the same way she had checked on Joan and found nothing wrong with them. they were both fine.... "Are they in some sort of trance?" Liam asked, and Diana shook her head. "No, it's not that..." She muttered... "it's something else... "I will be right back," Diana said and turned to leave the room, but Devon held her hand, stopping her. no one had any idea when she would come back if she left again, and it was hard to keep a trail on her to find her. She just dissappear into thin air and reappeared any time she felt like it... "Don't you want to know what is wrong with your mates... I'm going to find out, " Diana said and dragged her hand from Devon's grip, not without glaring at him, and Devon glared right back at her. this cause Lucas to his head at both of them...
