Chapter 15 Fifteen

• "I'm leaving," Lilac answered him coldly. "What do you mean you are leaving?" Johnathan walked up to her, held her arm, and turned her to look at him, stopping her from what she was doing. "I'm sorry," he immediately apologised, but Lilac refused to look up at him. She was hurt and angry, and even though she didn't want to leave, she still needed to do something. "I'm sorry, Lilac, please look at me." He apologised again in a soft voice, which Lilac couldn't resist. She slowly looked up at her mate and sighed. He looked really sorry. She shouldn't have acted so childish, but he made her react this way. She sighed again, and her hand slowly travelled to his face. Johnathan eyes closed when she slowly caressed his face. It was so soothing. How could he ever say he didn't need her help? he regretted saying that to her. Her presence alone soothed him in a way. He couldn't live without her. He opened his eyes slowly to look at her, and his hand slowly left her arm and travelled to her waist.
• "You don't speak to me, Johnathan. sometimes, I wonder what goes on in your mind. it's like you are in a completely different world from me, and it's exhausting."
• "I'm sorry." That was all Johnathan could say. he was truly sorry and thought he shouldn't burden her with his problems. But he only made her more worried about him and troubled her. He decided to let her read his mind for a moment, and Lilac's eyes grew wide when she realised it. His thoughts came flooding into her mind, and she gasped when he told her what was troubling him through their mind link, which most Lycan share with their mates. Her eyes softened, and she hugged him tightly after. "How could you keep all this to yourself, Johnathan?" He rested his head in the nook of her neck and sighed. "I didn't want to trouble anyone, and I didn't know how to tell them," He answered. He felt a bit relieved now that he was able to tell his mate a bit of what was troubling him. He drew her closer and remained in their soothing hug before he finally broke the hug and planted a kiss on her forehead. "Please don't leave," He pleaded softly and smiles immediately graced Lilac's lips. "I am not," She replied...
