• "Are you sure about the advice you gave him?" Joan asked Alice, and they walked back to the main house, and Alice stopped in her tracks... "Right?" Alice said and sighed deeply. "What if Seraphina flips out if he tries anything... what if he blames me... I was bold when I told him that. Hoping it would help. But now I'm not so sure... She would kill him! She reminds me so much of Diana, but like a softer version," Alice said, and Joan nodded in agreement. She wasn't really close to Seraphina, but in the short time they spent together, she could tell that Seraphina wasn't someone anyone should mess with... from the memories she had seen from Ash, yes Seraphina might use her powers on Kace if he tried anything" Alice turned back, contemplating about going back to kace house to tell him that he shouldn't follow her advice, but Joan stopped her before she could do anything. she turned to look at Joan, who shook her head. "I don't think you should. We shouldn't interfere more than this... I think we should let them be, " Joan said, and though Alice wanted to be nosy, she knew Joan was right... "She is right." They heard a familiar voice. And both women turned their heads at the same time to look at Devon, who was a few feet away from them, Liam behind him... "Devon," Alice said, and a smile appeared on his face... "Why are you here?" she asked, and Devon sighed, deeply answering... "The same reason you did... I was worried about my gamma, and he decided to tag along, " Devon said, glancing at his brother, who had his eyes on his mate... Joan immediately grew nervous because immediately she saw Liam, memories of the previous night invaded her mind... Hazel's words were already engraved in her mind... Devon walked to where Alice was standing and took her hand in his, his eyes travelling to her bump... "I think it's time for you to get some rest," Devon said, and Alice immediately understood that he wanted her to give the couple some space... joan nervously turned to look at Alice, her eyes pleading for Alice not to leave her alone with Liam, but Alice nodded and squeezed her hand before realising it... She watched as Alice and her mate walked away, leaving her alone with her own mate, and she could feel his piercing gaze on her already... "Good morning", Liam greeted because that was the first time he had seen her when he woke up, she was gone beside him, and when Devon told him she was with Alice, he immediately tagged along... "Good morning," Joan greeted back, her heart so heavy that she couldn't tell Liam about what had happened. She didn't want him to grow worried when they only started to be on good terms... "would you like to go on a walk with me" Liam asked and Joan nodded he stretched out his hand for her to take and Joan took it, her heart Warmly up immediately their fingers came in contact... her heart was already racing since she saw him standing behind Devon... They both walked away... their fingers intertwined as they walked in silence... Each one of them is waiting for the other to break the silence. "I, we," they both said at the same time, and a smile graced Liam's face...
• "You can go first," he said, and Joan nodded... her eyes travelling to the beautiful ring on her fingers... "I was wondering about the wedding ... I don't know much about what to do or how to prepare..." She said in a low voice. The words coming out of her mouth sounded weird in her ears... "You don't have to prepare for anything... all the preparations will be taken care of... you just have to pick the dress you want..." Liam explained that as he was the king, their mating ceremony would be intertwined with the mating ceremony to make things easier and less strenuous for Joan... most people did it separately,, but he didn't want that; thoughht their wedding would be rush, ed, he wanted it to be a memorable time for her... He wanted everything to feel perfect and not nerve-wracking for her...
• A nervous smile appeared on Joan's face, she couldn't believe she was getting married it all still felt like a dream... would the people accept her as their queen? He wondered... queen? It sounded funny to her... she didn't think she had what it took to be a queen, but she was willing to give it a try...
