Chapter 42 Welcome Home

  • No one said anything while in the air, it wasn't until the griffins landed on the drawbridge where there were many not just Slayers there to welcome the long lost daughter of the Great White wolf, Andreas and of Isolde. Baudric standing next to Arika, with their children. With them Elvinia noticed new faces plus those who wore the emblem of the Lady of Light, her real name was Astraea. Elvinia looked at everyone wondering which one was her father, she wondered if he was in fact elderly or not? Would he even recognize her until she heard her name being called. She turned to see a man whose hair was darker than hers but she could see the fiery red and his eyes like winter frost, as her very own. He stood taller than most, he appeared to no older than Gerhardt or when Baldr was alive. She said nothing but ran to her father as he welcomed her with open arms. He only held her once when she was an infant and that was not long enough. Andreas Udolf, the Great White wolf had never forgotten about his child and every day wondered what she was doing or if she would look like her mother. He regretted that he had to let her go and wasn't there for when she needed her father, but here she was finally home. Though he had lost his love, Isolde; but he had gained a daughter who did in fact looked very much like her mother. He held onto her tightly for she had gone through so much to get to this point and there was much more to get done. Everyone stepped back and watched in silence for those who knew Elvinia had seen for themselves the change in her. Andreas setting down his daughter though he had no tears in his eyes, she could see the love he had for her. Every fear and anxiety she had wondering if she was good enough or was she worth all this pain he had went through was worth it. "Welcome home Elvinia, Yrsa my daughter."
  • She hugged her father once more for the first time in so long she felt a connection that could only come from a mother and father; and though she had no mother, she at least now had her father, her real father in her life now.
  • He looked around to his Slayers, and every one them knelt down including Gerhardt and Egon for she was their Master's daughter.
