Chapter 16 On the Run

• Baldr grabbed the bars where he was being kept not to mention that his men were locked in another cell right above his cell; to his left was Viggo and to his right was Elsa. She would be giving birth here soon enough, but no matter what he said she already felt that she and her child were going to die here. Baldr couldn't say anything to give her hope because from where they were there was no hope only certain death. They heard many feet above them and shortly came Adalwolf who stepped in front of Baldr, "Your wife is very sly. She managed to escape but don't think she has gotten far because after giving birth, she would have lost a lot of blood." He turned over to Elsa who was getting uncomfortable for her time was coming up to give birth herself, "Just think my dear, if you hadn't left me, you would be somewhere comfortable but soon, very, very soon you'll be watching your child being eaten by our creatures. Nothing that you or Viggo can do about it but wait your turn."
