Chapter 20 THE TRUTH OR LIARS

• The winter morning gave way to the sun for it had snowed during the night. Elvinia was sleeping, and though it was still early, however, was exhausted. She thought of herself in a dream but then she looked around where she had been sleeping. It was a realization of what had occurred and they did escape by the skin of their teeth. she looked over to see the wood elf who was still asleep and Elvinia getting up to see where they were which was an elaborate cave, the inside was spectacular though they were underground. Every light was not fire, instead, they were orbs that were glowing and moving in every direction, here and there, never staying in one place. By her feet, small animals were glowing like neon lights but not tacky like from the eighties, but magical. Though they were cave dwellers they resembled the rabbits she had seen growing up, and deer both does and bucks, even the fawns had colors that could mesmerize anyone. She looked over to the creek that was flowing and as she knelt to drink some water, the fish and dragonflies, and other living things were glowing. She nearly fell back as the frogs started leaping from the glowing lily pads, for the frogs came out of nowhere but once she got her footing, she saw how beautiful this place was.
• The wood elf lightly laughed, "We are in the lands of the Lady of Light. She brought us here, but I always thought elves, fairies, and other magical creatures were the only ones allowed to come here."
• "Why is that?"
