Chapter 15 Answering the Call

• Revna made her way to the land of the elves where the Highborn Elves were rulers of these lands within the realm, the forest around the belonged to the Woodland elves, they were rangers and hunters but not of royal blood like their cousins, the Highborn. Down by the seas, those that worked the mines and the ships were dark elves, though they were bred to be assassins, they protected the elven lands from the humans and those who sought to cause trouble here. Though Revna was a mage, she knew the elves would not trust her, although behind her two guards dragged them Ingemar and his wife, Beadu. Beadu already with child was crying because she didn't understand what was going on as they were dragged through the forest many elves were watching as though they were hidden from sight. They held their bows up aiming for the small group when they released their arrows only instead of killing the group arrows were bouncing off an invisible shield. Revna protected the group for it she hadn't made her bargain with the Highborn elves so neither the prisoners nor her men, not to mention herself would be unprotected. Her hands were pulsating from her spell that surrounded them against the arrows or whatever else might be used to harm them. She kept her focus as she talked, "I am Revna, I have brought the elves presents but first I must speak with your king, Gael."
• She never lowered her shield because she was determined to speak with the Elven King so that an arrangement could be made. Ingemar didn't have to guess why he was taken here because he had many of the Elven people killed throughout his reign, but it was his young wife who was unaware of their situation. The Highborn elf came through a different portal and signaled to Revna that they may come to the Highborn Keep, where their king and queen were waiting.
