• Selene's cries filtered through the haze of sleep, gently pulling me back into my dreams. I blinked against the faint light seeping through the curtains, my mind not quite taking in the scene before it. Zeus at the foot of the bed, holding our daughter against his chest, his face a canvas of intense attention, large hands moving carefully to soothe the delicate little body.
• My heart swelled at the view. Zeus, the Alpha who once held within every step only power and dominance, now softly rocked his daughter, muttering to her something I could not quite decipher.
