After so many years of wondering, of aching for the son they’d lost, he was finally here. She couldn’t wait to tell Selene the news, to see the joy on her daughter’s face. Zeus shared her excitement, his own gaze soft as he glanced at the door where Selene would soon emerge.
• When they reached Selene’s room, Zeus knocked lightly before calling her name. “Selene, honey, can we come in?”
