Chapter 24 A Perilous Breakout

- The night was cold; the wind cut through my cloak as I stood at the window, staring out into the woods. My heart was still racing from what I had seen and knew what Hades was headed to— the tree house. He was waiting for me.
- Drawing my cloak close to me, my hands shook with some small tremors, white moved in me. She was all alert and attentive; she saw all that I did, yet careful must be the word I had better be using since Zeus might catch me sneaking out, God knows what he'd do. But however much I wanted to ignore Hades, I could not— the story of everything was too heavy on me.
