Chapter 83 Language of a Carnation

  • Watching as the middle-aged woman left, Cynthia couldn’t feel more satisfied as she revealed a subtle grin.
  • Seeing the drama had ended, the crowd found no purpose in tarrying. And so, they gradually left, leaving Cynthia, Ray, and the manager. The manager bowed to Cynthia with a light beam as he apologized, “Miss, I’m very sorry for such an unpleasant dining experience. Your meal will be on the house.”
  • Cynthia accepted his apology and offer, though she felt a little remorseful for not inviting more people to the meal as there were only four at her table, wasting the opportunity for a free feast. Done with the manager, Cynthia and Ray joyously headed back to their table, only to find the intern and May, who had already finished their meal, leisurely chatting with each other as they waited for Cynthia and Ray to come back.
