Chapter 148 Unreasonable Demands

• Cynthia and Brenda waited in boredom for another half an hour. Each of them had two more cups of coffee while waiting, and now there were already eight empty cups on the table. After she came back from her third trip to the restroom, her patience had finally run out. “Give them a call, Brenda. Tell them we have work to do, and we don’t have time to waste with them. Pack up and leave.”
• “Alright, Cindy. Right away.” Brenda had lost her patience as well. She didn’t care how famous Madelyn was, or how reputable her agency was. She wanted to call them and cancel the appointment.
• The moment she made the call, she heard the sound of someone’s phone ringing outside. “We’re very sorry for coming in late.” The ringtone became louder and louder, then the manager came in and smiled apologetically.
