Chapter 51
- Rose's POV
- "You’re crossing a line, Damian." My father's voice, usually like granite—solid and unshakable—wavered with fury he barely managed to contain. His jaw clenched so tight I could see the muscle twitch at the side of his face. Though his posture was rigid, I sensed the storm beneath his skin, simmering just beneath the surface.
- Damian stood just a few feet away, draped in arrogance like a second skin. The smirk he wore didn’t quite reach his eyes. “I’m only trying to help here,” he said smoothly, as if he were making a business deal rather than delivering a threat. “Marry your daughter to me, and you keep your pack and your lives. Sounds like a fair trade, doesn’t it?”
