  • After breakfast, once my father—Alpha Stefan—had left with Beta Marcel to tend to pack matters, the house settled into a quiet stillness. The clinking of cutlery had faded, and the buzz of morning activity died down, leaving only the chirping of birds outside and the soft rustle of leaves brushing against the windows. I found Aunty Vivian in the garden, seated under the shade of a willow tree, a cup of tea in hand and her eyes watching the clouds like they held secrets.
  • I hesitated, my fingers curling into the folds of my tunic. “About the training you mentioned… the one that might awaken a dormant wolf,” I said, my voice barely louder than the breeze. “Is that even real?”
