Chapter 101
- Rose’s POV
- Kavian’s voice was low, almost a rumble, as if the weight of his words had been sitting in his chest for years. “First you must know where I am from. My brothers and I come from a place called Varshan Hold—across the ocean, in the district of Persia. My father is the Alpha of our pack, the Silvercrest Pack—the largest in the Middle East.”
- I found myself leaning forward without realizing it, drawn in not only by the cadence of his voice but by the way his mismatched eyes—one green like sunlit moss, the other blue like a winter sea—seemed to shift with every flicker of candlelight spilling from the hearth. He spoke of his homeland and it felt far away yet alive in his tone; a place of endless dunes, salt winds off a restless ocean, and the heavy scent of spice markets.
