Chapter 73 Curious Eyes - Part I

• I impatiently stared out the window as the somewhat familiar landscape passed by. We hadn’t stopped once on our way here. And Ryko drove as fast as he could after I growled and threatened him multiple times.
• My heart refused to settle as tons of different scenarios played through my mind. I couldn’t help but think what if he changed his mind. What if he went back to that female again. I say went back as if I was completely sure he was fully mine for even a second. I wanted to trust him, I wanted to think positively but everything that has happened really doesn’t allow me to. And the time I spent with him, the way he behaved, so devoted, so passionate, feels like a fever dream now.
• We reached the gate to the pack, but it didn’t open for us. Two guards approached and Ryko rolled down his window. He spoke to the guards, but they didn’t seem to budge. It was taking too long for me to just sit around when I knew he was only a few meters away. I glanced at the guards and threw open the car door before running to the gate. I could hear the guards shouting from behind, but my mind was somewhere else to really pay any heed to them. Through the small door, I rushed into the pack. My nose held high in the air I started running. I could sense him. He was somewhere inside. I glanced back to find the guards running to me at full speed. A few more meters and they would catch up to me. But I was a fool, I was blinded enough to not care about two bulky warriors chasing me and I kept running to find Erdem. I could feel them right behind me, but I refused to stop or glance back as I kept on running. And at that moment, I heard a growl.
