Chapter 20 His Words - Part ll

• Vesna bowed her head as the big, burly Alpha at the door nodded at her. His dark eyes swept across the room until they fell on me. The intensity of his guess is too much for me to take and I look down at my lap. Even so, he doesn’t look away.
• “Could you give me and Nesta a moment alone, Vesna?”
• Vesna nodded and looked back at me. Her eyes are reassuring as she mouthed, ‘everything will be okay’. With a last smile, she looked ahead and Alpha Erdem stepped back letting her pass. My heart beat loudly as he stepped back inside the room.
