• “Erdem?” I wondered aloud. Stirring slightly and opened my eyes, still full of sleep. I could barely make out his outline in the dark. But when his fingers gently moved some of my hair from over my eyes, I knew it was him.
• “I’m sorry I woke you up,” he murmured.
• “No, it’s okay.” I drowsily muttered. “When did you get back?” I asked as I reached out to turn on the lamp on my bedside table, but he gently grasped my hand.
