• As the night deepened, the celebration took on a life of its own. The wolves joined hands, encircling a central bonfire, its flames casting a warm glow upon us all. Erdem offered me his hand and I gladly took it as we danced around the mighty fire. The wolves with their other halves joined in, swaying to the melody. We moved to the music, our bodies swaying in unison, a collective expression of gratitude and reverence for the cycle of life. I could look away from his majestic blues as they were fixated on me, a gentle smile adorned his beautiful face as he led us through the dance. In the middle of the dance, Ezio ran to us, freeing himself from his uncle, Anxo’s arms. Erdem bent down picking him up and with Ezio between us, he continued to lead us through the dance. The biggest smile adorned Ezio’s glowing face and the melodious sound of Erdem’s laughter filled the air. In the arm of my males, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and my heart was filled to the brim with love.
• After the dance, Erdem with Ezio in his arms approached the spot where my father, Demir, and Anxo stood, engaged in conversation. Sensing an opportunity, I excused myself to quench my thirst and headed inside the packhouse. As I poured a glass of water, my eyes caught sight of Milena entering the room. Her eyes shimmered with uncertainty as she nervously made her way towards me.
• "The festival was beautiful," Milena spoke in a small voice, her words barely audible. I offered her a warm smile in response.
