Chapter 71 The Signs - Part Il

• I curled up on my bed, clutching a pillow to my chest. I was still waiting for him fighting the immense tiredness that threated to take over. I yawned as I checked the clock. It was almost midnight. Where was he? The fear really started to take over at that point and I assumed the worst. Perhaps he changed his mind. Maybe he ran out of time and went back. Or is way to exhausted to come. Or maybe, he doesn’t want to come. I buried my face in the pillow and closed my eyes trying to sleep. But all I could think of was many unknown reasons why he didn’t show up. And every single one of them ended up being he simply didn’t want to. I suppose there is no point of waiting then.
• I saw a shadow, a large and black shadow that shifted at the blink of an eye. I tried to look more carefully trying to make out what the shadow was. I gasped and took a step back when I saw the shadow take a more prominent form. It was a large black wolf, its golden eyes glowed as it dodged trees and rocks, jumping over streams and logs. It was fast and agile. I watched mesmerised as the wolf slowly closed the gap between itself and me. I couldn’t even blink as I watch it come closer and closer. I extended my arms as if I was preparing to catch it in my arms. I could feel myself smiling as it slowed down, now taking small steps towards me. He was truly mesmerising, his lush far was thick and glossy and I wanted to dip my fingers into them. The wolf huffed as it slowly calmed its muscles. Its eyes never left mine and I didn’t dare move. And just then, a figure threw a blow that sent the wolf drop to the ground. I gasped, screaming unintelligible words. I tried to reach the wolf, but it was as if I was glued to the spot. Blood oozed from its body and the blood made a pool under his body.
• I was jerked awoke from my sleep as I sat up gasping from breath. Bids of sweat had built up on my forehead as I tried to catch my breath. What did I just saw? Why am I so scared! I-is he okay? Just then, the door to my room was opened and my eyes shot to the opening.
