- “I am leaving tonight. I came to say goodbye.” A smile was on his face when he said, a smile that hardly reached his eyes. And I-I felt as though someone knocked the air out of me.
- “Y-you are leaving tonight?”
- “My father left this afternoon, and all the arrangements are made.” He said and stepped back. “Be safe and take care of yourselves.” He paused as I stared at him unable to say anything.
