Chapter 102 Burning Hearts - Part I

  • With careful steps, I entered the guest bedroom, mindful of the creaking floorboards that might betray my presence. The morning sunlight streamed through the parted curtains, casting a warm, golden glow upon his peaceful countenance. Erdem lay there, his features relaxed in slumber, his hair tousled in a delightful disarray. The sunlight danced upon his face, highlighting the chiselled angles of his jawline and the gentle curve of his lips.
  • A soft smile played upon my own lips as I observed him, taking in every detail of his handsome visage. His lashes, long and dark, delicately brushed against his cheeks, lending an air of vulnerability to his otherwise strong and stoic demeanour.
  • Setting aside the fresh attire I had brought for him, crisp shirt, and neatly pressed slacks, I arranged them with care upon the table. In my attempt to move quietly, I had misjudged the distance and collided my toe with the unforgiving edge of the table. A small gasp escaped my lips, and I instinctively reached out to steady myself. At that moment, Erdem's eyes fluttered open, his gaze locking onto me with a mixture of surprise, concern, and a touch of amusement. His eyes instantly held my attention captivated. They were a striking shade of beautiful blue, like deep sapphire pools, reflecting the tranquillity of the morning sky.
