- “The Alpha has asked for your presence at his residence.” He said this with a straight face, and Vesna moved in front of me, shielding me from the guard.
- “Why?” She inquired, and his gaze was drawn to her.
- “The Alpha is under no obligation to provide you with an explanation.” He murmured coldly, and his gaze returned to me. “Come with me, or I shall be compelled to take you forcefully.”
