Chapter 53

• Bella’s POV
• The next morning when I wake up, I reach over beside me. I feel the same thing that I have felt for the past two days. An empty cold bed. Ivan hasn’t come back home since he left a few nights ago. By this point my emotions have been jumping back and forth from being pissed off, scared that something has happened to him, and happy that he isn’t here. I sit up and take a peek over at my son who is sleeping in his bassinet. He looks just like his damn daddy. I quickly scoot off the mattress onto my feet and head directly into the bathroom. I do my morning routine in a hurry, because I’m afraid that Andrey will wake up and I won’t be in there. When I come back into my bedroom, I see Andrey’s little arms and legs moving around. I trek over to him, and gather him up in my arms. I change his diaper and feed him, before the two of us go downstairs to the dinning room. On the way I can’t help but think to myself. ‘At least Ivan did call and tell Theo that I was allowed to come down for my meals. That is the only time that I get to leave my room.’ I sigh and continue my journey.
• As I walk in to the dining room I stop abruptly. I’m stunned when I see someone sitting at the table. My husband, and boy he is so fine. I take a calming breath as I lay Andrey in his swing. I take my seat after I greet Ivan. “Good morning. Sorry I was late. I didn’t realize that you were here.” I pick up his plate and say. “What all would you like to eat.” I make a gesture with my hands over all the food that has been prepared. He gives me his order and I fill it. After I place his food down in front of him and begin to pick what I want. I take my seat and try to swallow down a few bites but I am having a difficult time. I want to know where he has been at for the past couple of days. I sigh and scoot away from the table while excusing myself. “Please excuse me, I don’t seem to be all that hungry this morning.” I bend down and retrieve Andrey from his swing and head back upstairs.
