Chapter 51

• Bella’s POV
• When kat and Enzo leave my hospital room, a feeling of unease settles in around me. Ivan bends over and takes Andrey from me and places him in his bed. I shift over to the side giving Ivan plenty of room if he wanted to lay back down. After laying the baby down, Ivan scoops up the bag of food and hands it to me. I thank him and dig in. I’m starving at this point. As soon as I am finished Ivan takes the empty containers from me, and throws them away. He then takes off his shoes and jacket and strolls over to my bed. Once he is settled down beside me, I snuggle up to him. Hoping that this awkwardness will go away. But it doesn’t. “So, are you going to make me ask what you and Kat talked about? Don’t even lie about it either, because if I know Enzo, he has already interrogated my sister. No matter what I will find out. It can be the easy way or the hard way which ever one you choose.” He pauses giving me the opportunity to come clean with him. I decide it is in my best interest to do just that.
• “Kat begin questioning me about what happened when you finally showed up. I told her, then she asked if everything was ok. After that I asked her how married life was treating her, and explained how happy she was with her husband. Then she broke down and started saying how I shouldn’t give up on you, that if I felt even an ounce of love for you, I need to fight for us. I begin crying when I said you didn’t want me like that, and I didn’t understand why you made me marry you if I wasn’t what you wanted. She said that she knew you loved me in your own way. That was when the two of you walked back in. I swear we wasn’t doing or talking about anything wrong. She was supporting me that is it.”
