Chapter 34

• Bella’s POV
• I can’t help but wonder if Ivan would actually call off the wedding if he thought I lost the baby. In order for that to happen I would need allies. A doctor to confirm a miscarriage and someone on the inside that could help set everything up. But what if he doesn’t break off our engagement. How would I explain still being pregnant to Ivan. I finally fall asleep and dream of a beautiful baby boy. I wake up with a smile on my face. I rub my tummy, I’m in a peaceful state of being. Which doesn’t last long because vile begins to creep up my throat and I have to jump up and go straight to the toilet. After I up chuck all of my supper from the night before, I brush my teeth. I go lay back down on the bed and order some breakfast.
• I turn on my tablet and continue reading my book. Two soft knocks are heard so I yell out, “come in.” Just like the previous morning Niki comes strutting in carrying my food. She places the plate down on the coffee table. Once the tray is out of her hands, she glances over at me with an expression on her face that I’ve never seen before, it’s annoyance. Niki clears her throat and starts speaking to me. “Is there anything else that I can get you?” As I am staring at her an idea pops into my head. I remember that Niki is the grand daughter of Ivan’s doctor. I wonder how serious she is about him. Would she help me if it meant that she might be able to be the one to marry him instead of me. I have to be very careful how I question her, she is liable to go nork me out. “Yes, Niki I was wondering how things were going with you and Ivan? I can clearly see that you are infatuated with him. To be honest I believe that you would be a better wife then I ever could to him.”
