Chapter 45

• Bella’s POV
• After I finish up in the bathroom, Ivan leads us back into the dining room. By the time we get back both mother and Kat are just about done eating. Ivan kisses me one last time before turning and leaving. It’s not long until us three ladies heading out. Once we get outside, I notice the abundant amount of guards waiting on us. There are three blacked out SUV’s full of men. We climb in the middle one and set out to the mall. I spend the whole day shopping for baby items. I use to dream about being able to buy these things when I was on my own. Now that I can it is all thanks to Ivan. That is one thing I can’t take from him he is a good provider.
• By the time I get back home, my feet are killing me from all of the walking that we have done. As instructed the first thing I do as soon as I walk in to the house I head straight to Ivan’s office. As usual there is a guard posted outside in the hall. When he notices me, he knocks, and cracks the door open. When I finally waddle down the hallway the man is standing there with the door open for me. I nod my head as a thanks to him before entering. As soon as I step inside Ivan’s office, I notice him sitting behind his desk with a stack of papers in front of him. He looks stressed out. I send a silent prayer upstairs that he is in a good mood before I start speaking to him. “Ivan, I don’t mean to bother you but I just wanted to let you know that I’m back. I’ll be upstairs if you need me.” I turn to leave, but to my surprise he stops me. “Hold on a minute. How was your trip? Did you find everything that we will need?” I’m shocked I never thought he cared enough to ask me that. “Yes, we found everything we might need and plus some. The men are bringing the clothes, toys, bottles, and all the small things in now. The furniture will be delivered tomorrow. Have you gone and seen how the painting is going in the nursey?”
