Chapter 24

• Bella’s POV
• As I am staring down at the test, the room starts to spin and my knees get week. I slump down to the tile floor and lean lay my head on my arm that is propped up on the side of the tub. ‘What the hell am I going to do now? Why didn’t Ivan say anything to me when him and the doctor left a couple of minutes ago. Oh my god I’ve been so worried about him just wanting his heir, that I haven’t even thought of the possibility that maybe he doesn’t want this baby at all. Will he make me have a abortion? He would have to kill me first, there is no way that I would allow anyone to harm my child. I need to leave like right now. But what will I do once I get away? I have no money or nothing of value that I can pawn so I can get a bus ticket back home. My only choice is to steal something small enough that I can sale for a little bit of cash. It can’t be too expensive, because that would only draw more attention to myself.’
• With my mind made up I rise up to my feet and walk into the bedroom. I glance around to make sure Ivan isn’t in here, before I go into the closet. I quickly change my clothes. I put on a pair of yoga pants, sports bra, a t-shirt, and a pair of Nike tennis shoes. After I’m dressed, I amble over to Ivan’s side of the closet and check all the pockets of his coats, and pants searching for some money. I start looking in his drawers still I don’t find any. I give up the notion of me finding any amount of money, when I slide the drawer open that houses Ivan’s jewelry. There are about six different Rolex watches. I grab the first one in arm’s reach and stuff it in my bra. I shouldn’t have any problem unloading this time piece.
