Chapter 21

• Bella’s POV
• I stand there staring at the man I just shot, I start thinking that I’m no better than Ivan or any other murderer. Suddenly, I hear footsteps with shouts from men that echoes through the empty halls. I quickly gather my sense back, and yell at Giulia and Kat. “We need to keep moving, before they catch us. Here one of you help me drag him.” I point down to where our body guard is knocked out cold. I could tell he was still living by the rise and fall of his chest. I sling off my shoes and take the heel to rip the feet of the panty hose I’m wearing. That way I can get a better grip on my feet. I’m surprised when I see Giulia to follow my lead.
• I stash the gun that I was holding inside our bodyguards jacket pocket. That way it would be close in case we needed it again. Giulia and I pull his dead weight all the way down the hallway we were on. There was a single door at the dead end. We entered the room which turned out to be a library. This room has book shelves running along every wall from floor to ceiling. A spiral stair case stood in the middle of the room going to the second floor. There are two brown leather couches that face each other in front of a fire place to our left. To the right it looks like a couple of long desks and table lamps that sit on top. Giulia drops the man’s arms and runs over to the book shelves to our right and pulls out a book. A secret passage opens up. I start to dragging our protecter to what I am assuming is a safe room.
