Chapter 43

• Bella’s POV
• I wait for Ivan to step away from me, before I go snatch up my clothes. I have a hard time bending over to pick them up off of the floor. To my surprise Ivan saunters over and gets my clothing for me. He hands me my outfit and tells me, “Hurry up and get dressed. Everyone is waiting for us in the living room.” I respond “yes sir. May I please use the bathroom before we go out there?” He nods his head giving me the okay. I rush inside and as quick as I can clean myself up. Once I am done, I walk back in his office. Ivan is leaning up against his desk with his phone out typing away. When he sees me, he gives me a once over. He must approve to how I look, because he reaches out and wraps his arm around my waist and hauls me out into the hallway headed to the living room.
• When Ivan struts in pulling me behind him, everyone raises to their feet. I see a man who must be the priest make his way to the middle of the room. The closer we get to the preacher the heavier my feet fill. At some point I stop moving all together. Ivan must notice because he is practically dragging me by this time. He must have had enough because he stops dead in his tracks and turns around and whispers into my ear. “You stupid little bitch, if you embarrass me and you will not live to see my son be born. I’ll take him away from you and let you live out the rest of your days knowing that another woman is raising him. Do I make myself clear?”
