- My gaze shifted when a familiar voice spoke. I frowned when I saw Agustine's mother. She was standing in front with an expensive bag hanging on her arm. She let out a sigh and then walked elegantly towards us. Every sound of her heels as she stomped on the hospital floor did not escape my ears. I noticed how her eyes flickered across the room, observing the furniture, the walls, and most importantly, the children resting quietly. There was a calculated grace in her movements, as if every step was rehearsed. Even the faint rustle of her designer dress seemed intentional, projecting a presence that demanded attention.
