  • "Mommy?" A tiny familiar voice was trying to wake me up from my deep sleep.

  • Her head moved slightly to look at me. Later she came closer and placed her little hand on my forehead. I could feel the soft warmth of her tiny fingers, the gentle insistence of her touch, and the innocent curiosity in her gaze.
