Chapter 44 Epilogue

• TEN MONTHS AFTER ABRAM FESTUS finished his gay love diary of Room 45, he decided to approach different publishing houses. He met shield wall from those publishers especially their editors, who said all kind of frustrating words, telling him his work is not for this place. None of the editors want to admit his work because of what he wrote, expressing gay love, and his ordeal and as human desire.
• None of them agrees to publish his work. They said he is too indiscipline using words and expressing the way he shouldn’t have expressed the matter of such idea. One of the editors in Living-Spring Publishing house at Lagos he went to, that is, after he sent his manuscripts via email to the publishing house three month after, told him, “Abram.” He replied, “Sir”, humbly smiling with the expectations of getting a publishing contract.
• “We are sorry.” The editor said. “We can’t publish you. In fact, I must tell you, Abram Festus” he shrugged. “You are too extreme in this your work, you titled Room 45.” The editor continued, “the language is terrible and the style is odd. Living-Spring doesn’t have space for such kind of work. We can’t put our money in it because of the market; we fear might hit back at us to publish such controversial work.”
