• I don’t know what I had expected. But after seeing Gabe’s lavish penthouses, I definitely hadn’t expected a quaint three bedroom home with a finished basement to be the principal residence Gabe chose to live in. It was a very simple abode, with the front porch entrance opening right into a living room and open kitchen on the ground floor. It was cozy. My lips tilted up at the thought. No matter how much his mamma had tried to turn him into a cool emotionless man, Gabe was anything but. This home was proof enough.
• The home was nestled among towering trees, its white stucco walls contrasting against the lush greenery surrounding it. Currently, I was sitting on a small porch arcade with three wooden columns forming two wooden arches at the front of the house. I sat on a wooden swing, drinking everything in and enjoying the earthy scent of the trees and fresh grass around me. My eyes went to the vibrant flowers that dotted the front lawn like confetti.
