• I entered the room Evelina and I were staying in to see Evelina sitting up in bed with a book in her hand. It took me a minute to realize it was the witch book that Sister Agnes had given her. She put the book down and glanced up at me, eyes full of concern.
• “I went looking for you,” Evelina said carefully. “But you had changed into your wolf and I thought it was best to let you blow off some steam through a nice run.”
