Chapter 15

  • **Evelina's POV**
  • I led the way towards my old home, my mind racing with a whirlwind of emotions. I struggled to reconcile the good memories with the pain and fear that had occurred in that very same house. Guilty because Papa loved me and not Mama. I would pray at night for some of Papa’s love to transfer to Mama. But it never did. Luckily, Mama was happy now with Kyle. However, the sad memories still remained buried deep in my heart.
