• "He’s not your enemy! He is no threat to you, I swear!” Raina exclaimed frantically, clasping her hands and falling to her knees in front of me. “Please Alpha, I beg of you to believe me. I just wanted to keep myself and my child away from him. I wanted to stay with as your mistress," Raina whimpered pitifully her hands going out to clutch my legs. Evelina's eyes flashed dangerously, that possessive gleam back in them. "But I know that's not possible anymore," she added hastily,letting me go and looking at Evelina whose magic was now crackling angrily around her. Appeased by Raina's words, I saw Evelina school her features back into a stoic mask.
• Raina looked back at me, her hands now simply raised in supplication towards me. "You have my phone Alpha Gabriel, and I am only part of your pack so I can’t mind link anyone else. You can monitor my communications. Just don’t send me away. I’ll tell the father. As long as he has to go through you to visit his son, I will tell him. He wouldn’t dare try to take my child away if he knew I was under your protection.”
