• It felt good to actually take a proper shower after everything we’d been through. Gabriel’s men resided on the outskirts of New York in an apartment complex Vin told me Gabe had bought out. All so his men could stay here to keep an eye on me. I didn’t know whether to be flattered or afraid of how obsessed he was. I shouldn’t have been surprised that it wasn’t all that far from my tiny apartment I had lived in with Robert.
