Chapter 39
- Aurora POV
- My body is still thrumming from the pleasure he forced out of me with his hands, but it’s not enough, not nearly enough to quiet the restless ache under my skin. My wolf won’t settle, prowling and clawing inside me, desperate for more of him, desperate for the proof that I belong to him and not to anyone else. Not to Jonas, not to the pack, not to my mother’s ambitions or her plans for me.
- I reach for him, not caring about anything but the heat simmering between us, not caring about right or wrong or how badly this will complicate everything. The world outside this room could burn and I wouldn’t notice, not with my wolf howling for him the way she is now. I climb into his lap and press my mouth to his, kissing him like it’s the last thing I’ll ever do, pouring every broken, hungry part of myself into the contact. He tastes like heat and home, and when he groans into my mouth, I know I’ve already undone him.
