Chapter 112
- Aurora POV
- It’s been five months since I arrived here, and thanks to Siriadne, this pregnancy hasn’t terrified me as much as I feared it would. She knows an astonishing amount about wolves and fae, and she explained early on that my pregnancy wouldn’t follow the typical human nine-month timeline, more like six months for someone with my mixed blood. That means the baby could come any day now, and the thought sends a flutter of nerves through me every time I move. I couldn’t register with a human doctor; explaining why the pregnancy is progressing so quickly would raise too many questions. Lucas stepped in to help with that, researching everything he could to keep us safe.
- He’s not a wolf, not fae, not anything supernatural, yet he’s thrown himself into this with a determination that still catches me off guard. At first, he scoured local libraries, but he quickly realized the books were filled with nonsense. Then I found him poring over what looked like ancient journals, and he admitted he’d gone back to Siriadne for guidance. He’s determined to make sure everything goes smoothly, and while he’s entirely human, there’s something unique about him—something that makes him stronger, more resilient, in ways I’m only beginning to understand.
