I thought they might give her a hard time, maybe sling some insults, but what I saw, Cain pinning her to the wall, his hands on her like she was his to claim—makes my blood boil all over again. My hands grip the steering wheel, knuckles white, as I glare at the road ahead, weaving through traffic back to my place.
