Chapter 125
- Aurora POV
- I thought the night with Killian during my first fae mating season was unbearable, the kind of agony that seared through every nerve and left me trembling for days. But this, this is worse. It feels like I’m burning alive, my skin prickling with heat so intense I’m half-convinced it’ll start peeling off in sheets.
- The cold water from the shower pours over me, but it does nothing to dull the fire raging inside. I was standing at first, clinging to the wall for support, but my legs gave out, and now I’m curled on the tile floor, the spray hitting my back as I fight to stay conscious. I can’t move, can’t even lift my hands to shut off the water. The pain is a living thing, clawing at me, relentless and all-consuming.
