• Nick’s POV
• Flying back into New York was the best thing for me. I haven't talked to Soma in a while, and I know she is probably going crazy wondering what the hell happened to me. I didn’t want to tell her that I was going to London because they were coming for her, but I did want her to know things weren’t as great as I thought they would be. I was hoping she and Oliver made more of a pack and they were in love. I didn’t want to lose my best friend to the fake Lycan King. He was already pissing me off to the end, but I wasn't strong enough to kill him myself. Many have tried and he made them die a slow and painful death. Don’t get me wrong Soma is worth the death but she would just be forced into things anyways whether I was dead or not.
• Pulling out my phone, I turned it on. There were several messages from Soma asking where I was, I felt bad about ignoring her but I couldn’t let her distract me when I went against Gideon. Gideon wasn't too happy, and I knew he was going to send someone out here to try and force her to come with him, but I was going to ensure it didn’t happen like that. I dialed Soma’s phone.
