- After Roman guards took away Max, Oliver finally was on his knees. I knew he wasn't going to let anything more happen to me. I wanted to get closer to him but they had him out of my reach.
- “Oliver,” I called, but he didn’t look at me. I felt a sadness building but I had to remember they drugged him with something otherwise he would have already gotten to me.
