• Even now, my cheeks burn with embarrassment from what Damon did. He kissed me in front of so many people! Sure, he’d kissed me before when we were married, but it was different back then—we didn’t feel anything for each other. Now, every kiss sends my heart trembling, and I can’t stop the emotions flooding through me.
• A crowd had witnessed the kiss, so Damon quickly led me away, stopping at a jewelry stall in the bustling market. When I turned to him, he was grinning mischievously, clearly pleased with himself. The sparkle in his eyes was unmistakable, and I rolled my eyes at his smugness.
