Chapter 22 Chap Twenty-one

• Damon practically dragged me into our room, ignoring my resistance. Guilt gnawed at me for Anna—I'd had no idea Damon said such things to her, and yet she defied him for me. I can't let him do anything to hurt her!
• "Let her go, Damon, and let me go too!" I screamed, but he acted like he couldn’t hear me. He was cruel and unfeeling, forbidding me even a moment outside the palace. How absurd is that?
• I'm not some animal to be let out on command! He treats me like a prisoner, and I can hardly stand it!
