Chapter 32 Chap Thirty-one

• Wrapped in a blanket, lying together on the bed, I feel safe and secure in Damon's arms. We’ve just shared an intense, intimate moment, and I’m relieved to see that he’s unharmed from the rogue attack. He told me it ended quickly, as the rogues’ forces weakened almost immediately.
• Unfortunately, none of the rogues were captured for interrogation; they all managed to escape. I listen to Damon’s steady breathing beside me, knowing how exhausted he is—no wonder he’s sleeping so deeply.
• Though I want to drift off as well, my mind won’t stop racing, especially now that I’ve learned what Anna went through. Damon's past is far more complicated than I imagined, and his enemies are not only targeting him but also his family and Alpha Devon.
